CVS support in eclipse [message #68979] Wed, 07 May 2003 08:15

Hi,

Hope this is the right place to post???

When I open the CVS repository perspective and I connect to my rep I see
both the directories in my rep (includingnon-cvs stuff) and also the list
of modules I defined in the moduel file.

1- The behaviour (chekout possibilities between a module or its directory
equivalent (suppose each module is ina separate dir) is different.

2- The modules I defined contain a force local directory option to be sure
to checkout them correctly in the sandbox (so each developper would have a
"standard" env). It seems that eclipse overrules this. (Now of course since
the structuring of projects into subfolders seems a difficult thing to
handle I understand this).

3- Is there a graphical view of the history of each file or module

4- Imagine I have project toto that is branched (branch v1.0). If I checkout
the head branch in /workspace, I will have the following /workspace/toto.
Now if I want to checkout the banch as well what should I do, because the
repository perspective will show me something like "toto v1.0" but will
check it out to /workspace/toto as well????

Thanks

Thomas
