Hi,
Is there a licensed version available for eclipse IDE , something that has
more features than the current eclipse 2.1 ?
If so , how do I purchase it ?
what are the features are are available in the licensed version ? Will it
have all the functionalities that are present in WSAD 5.1 ?

Hi,
I think the answer is no. Eclipse is a framework for creating IDE-s and
other rich client applications using its powerful plugin facility. Actually
the JDT (java development tools) is a collection of plugins and nothing
more.
The 3.0 version is on its way (I think the final version will be available
in summer). It has far more features than the 2.1.x versions, so you should
give it a chance. You can download milestone releases (I recommend M7 or M8
to download) and try them.
Also, various developers and companies offer enhancements for the Eclipse
IDE. Some of them are free, some of them are commercial and you have to pay
for them. For a good start I recommend http://eclipse-plugins.info/ and
http://www.eclipseplugincentral.com/ where you can find '3rd party' plugins
(related to e.g xml editing, relational databases, editor enhancements,
version control system integrations and much more).
HTH,

Csaba

Yes, it's called WSAD and it's part of IBM's WebSpehere product familly.
It has a lot more featrures like J2EE and XML support etc. It also comes
with development version of their app server.
