The same reason(s) you give a client of your application when the client ask
"how come you did not include feature ABC?". There are many things included
in eclipse, and many more missing too. Its a question of time, priority,
complexity, value, etc.
You can open an enhancement bug report against Platform - UI for it to be
considered. Or maybe your company is willing to commit a number of
developers to add this feature in and have it included in Eclipse. If so,
please post a message in the platform-ui-dev mailing list.
