Greetings,

I use a black background for all my text editing in eclipse and have my
syntax coloring set up to take advantage of the black background.
However, there doesnt appear to be a way to set the background color for
the structured text editors.

This is a problem for mesince the syntax coloring for jsp pages takes the
colors from what is set up in the java editor preferences. The colors I
have chosen for .java files are set to work with a black background and
barely show up when viewing .jsp because I cannot set the background color
for the structured text editor.

I am trying to set the background color of the structured text editor (for
xml, jsp, etc.) but there doesnt appear to be a setting for it in
"/General/Editors/Structured Text Editors".

I have a black background set under "/General/Editors/All Text Editors"
but it is ignored by structured text editors.

Is there any way to set the background color for the structured text
editor? Or have the structured text editor use the same background as set
for the "All Text Editors"?

This sounds like a bug in the structured text editor. If it accepts the
rest of your coloring options it should also accept your background color
option as well. Please open a bugzilla bug against the wst.sse component
of the Web Tools project.
