convert Class to Visual Class [message #64067] Mon, 04 October 2004 07:16 Go to next message

When I import a project into a directory w/ an existing project, my Visual
Classes lose their "visual" editor ability and become regular
Classes...how can I either prevent this or convert a Class to a Visual
Class?

Where are configuration settings like this stored in Eclipse?

Thanks!

Just open the context-menu for a class and then choose, Open with -> Visual
Editor. This is then remembered the next time around. I guess this is stored
somewhere in the project directory.

All that is stored is the last editor opened with. That is Eclipse, not
the VE doing that. So when you import into a new place, it is a new
file, so eclipse says it will use the default editor, which is the
standard Java editor. It didn't loose anything, it is still a visual class.
