Hi all,

I apologise for reposting this but the original
< http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.modeling.gmf/m sg01079.html>
is a quite old thread and I thought that would make it unnoticeable.

basically the problem is same as in posted in that message.

The model can be seen in the outline but not in the editor. The editor
only shows the image of the first node put in and nothing else. If I
delete that node, then the editor shows the next node put in. Then also
only the Node Figure itself is shown. It's label etc. are not rendered.

I'm using eclipse 3.2.0
sun jdk 1.5.0_08
gmf 1.0.0.v20060627-1200
gef SDK 3.2.0.v20060626

on a Debian: GNU/Linux system.

The error log does not show any error on opening the diagram file but a
warning on launching eclipse is produced.

Warnings while parsing the commands from the 'org.eclipse.ui.commands'
and 'org.eclipse.ui.actionDefinitions' extension points.

Commands should really have a category:
plug-in='org.openarchitectureware.xpand2.editor',
id='org.openarchitectureware.xpand2.editor.insertRT',
categoryId='org.openarchitectureware.editor'

Commands should really have a category:
plug-in='org.openarchitectureware.xpand2.editor',
id='org.openarchitectureware.xpand2.editor.insertLT',
categoryId='org.openarchitectureware.editor'

Reverting back to jdk 1.4.2 is not an option. If anybody has any idea
why this should be happening, could you please point it out to me.

Thanks in advance :D.

Vibhav.

Update:

On Windows it works, i.e. you *can* see the diagram.

Running the exact same versions of Eclipse, GMF etc.

also running JDK 1.5.0_08.

So problem is probably somewhere with how the diagram is rendered
with SWT on Linux.

again any Ideas?

Googling has similar problems but that was a gdi*.dll file not being
present on Windows. No such on Linux.

I'm filing a bug report.

but please mail if any idea of why this might be happeneing.

thanks & regards,
Vibhav
