Hi,
I am having trouble installing AJDT 1.2 under Eclipse 3.0.2
using j2sdk1.4.2_08 on Windows ME.
I installed Eclipse from the zip-file and started it to initialize the
workspace.
I stopped Eclipse and unpacked the AJDT 1.2 zip-file to the directory
holding eclipse.exe.
The fearures directory contains org.eclipse.aspectj_1.2.0.20050610 and the
plugins
directory contains the plugins listed in features.xml.
When I start Eclipse I find no indication of AJDT in the configuation or the
preferences.
I tried accessing the update site listed on the AJDT download page, but it
shows no features.
I successfully installed AJDT 1.1 under Eclipse 2.1 about 18 months ago and
used it to
work through Eclipse in Action. After a pause for other projects, I am
trying to get back
up to speed with the latest version.
Is there anything I can do other than upgrade to Windows XP to get AJDT 1.2
running?

Hi Bruce,
It sounds like your installation has only partially worked so that
Eclipse thinks it has AJDT installed but none of the actions etc show
up. I have seen this before although I'm not quite sure how it
happened. Anyway do you think you could try the following:
1. Delete all the AJDT plug-ins from the 'plugins' directory (anything
ending in 20050610)
2. Delete the AspectJ feature from the 'features' directory
3. Restart Eclipse and follow the instructions for installing via the
Update Site.
Thanks,
Sian
