When synching a request with our Jira repository I get the following error
message:

Error parsing server response: The entity name must immediately follow the
" in the entity reference.

Running Jira 31.21.1 on an Apache Tomcat 5.5.20. Tested this with Eclipse
3.3.1.1 and Eclipse 3.3.2 and Jira Connector 2.3.2.v20080402-2100.

Unfortunatly coulnd't test it with Ganymed M6.

Anyone got this problem already?

greetings
Tom

Hi Tom,

Mylyn parses XML output from the JIRA repository when you synchronize a
query or an issue. The error you are seeing indicates that the XML parser
received a malformed response, e.g. an ampersand character "&" not being
properly escaped.

Do you get the error when you synchronize a single issue/query or when a
background synchronization is running? If the former is the case you could
try to open the issue/query in a browser (right click in the task list >
Open with Browser) and verify if the "XML" output is valid.

Great that you found the cause! Do you know in which of the field the
company name was used? I would like to create a test case that reproduces
the error.
