Hello,

I would like to know if there is a convenient approach to lock a column
when a user is scrolling vertically through the grid, so the locked column
remains in the user's view?

Thanks!
Harpal

Not currently but its been an often requested feature. There is an SWT
snippet that shows a way to achieve this:
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.swt.sni ppets/src/org/eclipse/swt/snippets/Snippet234.java?view=co
