How to set up extssh CVS access? [message #52344] Wed, 28 May 2003 19:37 Go to next message

Hey all,

I somehow set this up on my home computer, and can't get it working on my
work computer. I have a sourceforge project, and would like to connect to it
using the CVS repository and the extssh protocol. Is there any docs that
explain how to connect to a sourceforge project? I have been playing with it
for two hours now and still can't get it to connect. I keep getting some
error like Root Request Missing. I have put in my sourceforge user name,
password, selected extssh, and set the host as cvs.sourceforge.net. For the
repository path I don't know exactly what to put here, but I put the project
name here. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Read your sourceforge project page. It clearly says that repository path is:
/cvsroot/project-name

I did that. That was easy. I still get the error. Ahh crap. Now I feel
stupid. I just did what you said, and it worked! But I did that earlier and
it didn't work. Must be a bug in Eclipse. ;) Sorry for wasting a post.

Hey Kevin,

Could be a slash problem. It is weird, I know recall your name from
somewhere. I think we have worked on same projects once....doesn't matter.
All the best.
