How To Clean Launch Workspace ? [message #520950] |

Hallo,
I'm currently developing two RAP applications, which I start alternating from the IDE.
One of these applications don't start up anymore, posting a 'Can't restore perspective' message with details showing, that it tries to restore a perspective, that belongs to the other application.
When launching a normal RCP application, I can configure 'clear workspace' to erase all saved perferences from a previous launch.
I guess, that would do the trick, but I can't find this option for a RAP launch configuration.
Where does RAP store application dependent view settings etc. anyway ? How can they get mixed up for different applications ?
Thanks
Marc

Hi Marc,
the "trick" is to delete the folder named "workspace" under your Eclipse
IDE install folder. This is the place, where the settings are stored.

Hi Martijn,
I think you mix up the configuration area and the workspace here. In the
configuration area, OSGi stores it's config for the launch (which
bundles to start etc). In the workspace area, RAP (and other bundles)
store their data.
