Hi!

I have a legal question regarding CDT. There are lots of copyrights in the
code that look like this:

/*
* (c) Copyright QNX Software Systems Ltd. 2002.
* All Rights Reserved.
*/

Does this mean that cdt is a QNX owned product that is developed under
eclipse.org?

Thanks!
-Chris

The text here http://www.eclipse.org/tools/eclipsetools-charter.html says
this:

Licensing
All contributions to the Eclipse Tools Project must adhere to the Common
Public License http://www.eclipse.org/legal/cpl-v10.html. All
contributions must contain the following copyright notice:

/*********************************************************** ***********
Copyright (c) {date} {name of contributor} and others.
All rights reserved. This program and the accompanying materials
are made available under the terms of the Common Public License v1.0
which accompanies this distribution, and is available at
http://www.eclipse.org/legal/cpl-v10.html

Contributors:
<contributor1> - <description of contribution>
<contributor2> - <description of contribution>
...
************************************************************ **********/

That makes me believe that the QNX copyrights are simply an oversight and
probably come from folks at QNX doing lots of work on this. Feel free to
disabuse me of this notion. :)

Thanks!
-Chris

We actually ship with a copy of this license, which displays from the CDT
plugin more info button.

We just have not taken the considerable time to replace all the existing
licensing text in all the files.
The CPL is the intent of all QNX contributed source, in the CDT>
