Folks, I've downloaded and unzipped both wtp-1.0M1.zip and
wtp-wst-1.0M1.zip and restarted Eclipse. I see nothing relate to Web
tools anywhere in the application. Is there something else I have to do
in the install?
Thanks alot,

First of all, you just need wtp-1.0M1.zip (which includes
wtp-wst-1.0M1.zip).
Once you have installed that file, start Eclipse R3.0.1, go to: Help ->
Software Updates -> Manage Configuration... and make sure that the
feature is enabled.
Then, go to File -> New -> Other and make sure you have two folders
called: J2EE and Servers.
Please, notice that WTP M1 hasn't the functuonality needed to work on
J2EE projects.... so you won't see a JSP editor o a EJB wizard yet. But
things are moving.....
Regards,
Chemi.

Chemi, that was it. I had looked there before and didn't see anything
related. But then I saw I had to show the disabled features and then I
could see the WTP stuff. And after enabling it I could see the
functionality in Eclipse. I have a few duplicate Preferences entries
around Servers and Web but I will clear that one up later. Thanks for
your help!

Sorry for jumping in the middle of this thread.
I have wtp-1.0M1.zip. Do I unzip it into the root directory of my Eclipse
install? The rest of your instructions look pretty straightforward.
I use WebSphere at work and just downloaded and installed Eclipse
yesterday. All I can say so far is FANTASTIC! This will make testing code,
projects, etc. at home much more seamless!

The zip file should contain an eclipse dircetory with other two
directories: \plugins and \features; you should copy \plugins content in
top of your current \plugin dircetory and the same thing with \features one.
Hope this helps,
Chemi.
