Side-affixed children can not be placed in compartments [message #49981] Mon, 18 September 2006 14:33 Go to next message

I tried opening my GMFMAP model in GMF2.0M1 and I get the message:

"Side-affixed children can not be placed in compartments"

I can find no description of this message anywhere. Anyone know what it
means?

Hello Jeffrey,

Are you talking about the problem described in: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=156500

I don't think so.

The message I get is
"Side-affixed children can not be placed in compartments"
whereas the message in that bug is
"Side-affixed children can not be pure labels"

What does the term "side-affixed children" mean?

I tried my model in GMF 2 because I just get the message
"An internal error occurred during: Create generator model..."
with absolutely no trace or output to give me a clue as to what is wrong.

Hi,

As the person who introduced this bug into the code base, I have to state
that the bug described in #156500 covers both messages. There was the single
reason for both validation issues -- wrong constraint defined in the maping
model.

If you do not want or can not switch to the newer build (or just apply the
patch from #156500), please note that this validation issue does not affect
actual processing -- you will have all of the code generated even if there
is validation pseudo-problem labeled as "Side-Affixed <anything>".

Regards,
Michael
