Problems with VE 1.0M1 when opening existing panel [message #45738]

When I try to open an existing Panel created with VE 0.5 and Eclipse 2.1
the following error happens:

An internal error occurred during: "Setup Java Visual Editor".
java.lang.IllegalAccessError: tried to access method
org.eclipse.pde.internal.core.WorkspaceModelManager.getWorks paceModel(Lorg/eclipse/core/resources/IProject;)Lorg/eclipse /pde/core/IModel;

I'm using GEF 3.0, emf-runtime-I200403250631, VE-runtime-1.0M1

This stops me to migrate to Eclipse 3.0 from Eclipse 2.1.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

VE-runtime-1.0M1 will NOT run on Eclipse 3.0. Use the latest stable
build of VE instead -
http://downloads.eclipse.org/tools/ve/downloads/index.php

Currently the latest stable build is S20040628.
