My understanding is the XSD scheme editor is for editing XSD scheme only,
Can I change use it to edit XML file as well?
If not, why not. I see the IBM WebSphere demo, it uses the same editor for
both XSD schemem and XML file. Are they both based on the XSD scheme editor?

thank you.

Jack,

Yes, it's only a schema editor. It's only a sample designed to demonstrate how
xsd and xsd.edit can be used to build an editor. It's not a general XML editor
and it isn't designed to be one.

WSAD has general XML editing support and XML Schema editing support. Its XML
Schema editor is built on top of the XML Editor and it uses the XSD model to
provide the XML Schema awareness. Other WSxD tools, such as the .wsdl editor,
use the xsd.edit plugin's support directly.
