The first think I would like to tell - the contribution is great!

But those are the problems I have found:

1. If I associate XML Editor with some file extension by hand (for
example *.wml) the encoding of the file is not determined and I cannot
find the way how to set it by hand too.

2. I've added some XML Schema to XML Catalog preference page, but when I
edit file with namespace defined by this schema content assist does not
use schema for proposals. If not yet available DTD and XML Schema based
content assist should work in final product.

3. Missing support for XSLT Editing and XSLT Debugger.

Are any of the abowe features planned? And if yes when it could be expected?

Thanks for the feedback Igor. I'll attempt to answer some questions.

1. If you use the new XML wizard it will create a file for you with
content like this '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>'. Are you asking
for the UI or source view to help you specify an encoding? If so a quick
description of what you'd expect (menu item, content assist?) would be
helpful. I know we do provide content assist support for adding the xml
declaration.

2. Sounds like a bug. If you'd like to send me your schemas and xml files
I can look into it further.

3. XSLT Editing and debugging isn't included in our planned contribution
though IBM does provide this function in our 'not for free' WSAD/RAD
products.

Hope that helps!

On second thought (instead of sending me your xml/xsd's in an email)
please open a bugzilla bug against the 'Web Tools' product and attach your
artifacts.

thanks
