Hi,
i'm just wondering if this is a bug, i searched bugzilla but didn't find
any.

In a perspective A, i have a viewpart open, it doesn't allow to save its
state. if i restart Eclipse with this perspective active, the viewpart is
removed and no error is throwed, which is the correct behavior.
however if i switch to perspective B and this viewpart is still opened in
the inactive perspective and restart Eclipse then switch to the
perspective A, the viewpart state is somehow saved and this throws an
error when trying to open it.

should i fill in a bug report?

thanks.

yes, please open a bug at
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Platform &component=UI
with your reproducible test case (including a sample view definition,
what did you do to make sure it was not saved between sessions, etc).
