CVS Synchonization - files with no conficts are shown as having conflicts [message #330899] Fri, 15 August 2008 17:02 Go to next message

When we do CVS synchronization, the synchronize view shows almost ALL
files in the project - even those that have no conflicts. We must step
through hundreds of files to view the few with actual conflicts. The files
with no conflicts are shown as such in the editor view, but, they really
need to not be shown at all.

We were told this may have to do with inconsistent time stamps, since we
copy files among machines outside of Eclipse. If that is the problem, is
there a way to get Eclipse/CVS to ignore time stamps and use ONLY file
contents?

Does anyone know how to deal with this problem?

Thanks,

Gary,

Maybe if you do a select all in the synchronize view and invoke
Synchronize... on the pop for the selection, it will notice that none of
the files contain any actual changes and then get things back on the
right track...
