Hi all:
Today I download eclipse3.4 and I want to run it on Fedora9.It goes well
during the starting , but after I select a path for workspace ,the eclipse
doesn't display the workbench instead of a blank window(please see the
pictures)
I don't know why,so I run the eclipse3.3,it can go.
I think maybe the java version isn't suit for eclipse3.4.I uninstall the jdk
6 and install jdk1.5 (I type the "java -version" command in terminal ,it
shows that the current java version is 1.5.0_15), but I get the same result
: eclipse3.4 can't display workbench but a blank window.I want to view the
log file to know what's happen during eclipse3.4 starting,but I can't find
the ".metadata" directory in workspace,it means that eclipse3.4 doesn't
create that directory .
I upload some pictures , they can show what's happen.
Who can help me?
Thanks!

I suppose that you have a problem with Firefox 3.
You can try the following:
- remove Firefox 3 or install a newer version
- add the VM argument -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/dev/null
when starting eclipse
You can also take a look at this comment:
