I have used Eclipse for many years now and I never had any problems using

I am using Eclipse v3.3 on Mac OS X v10.5. It worked perfectly before last
week end. But since yesterday, Eclipse takes 3 minutes to open because it

opens and when I want to open a Java file, it takes 2 minutes to open.
To solve this problem, I first tried to restart Eclipse, but it changed
nothing. I then tried to use a new workspace. The opening of Eclipse
returned to normal but the problem when opening a Java file was still
there.
Finally, I tried to install other version of Eclipse, but nothing changed
either...
I don't know if it is the right place to ask for help, but I really need
your help! Has someone already had this problem and do you know how to get
Eclipse in a better shape ?

You might want to try running eclipsec, rather than eclipse, and hitting
Ctrl+Break (or whatever it is in MacOS) to get a thread dump, while it's
hanging, to see what it's waiting for. (Sorry if that doesn't apply to Mac,
I'm macignorant.)
Is it possible that you updated the JRE and there is some issue with the new
JRE? Note that installing other software might have caused the JRE to be
updated without your specifically requesting it.
Has there been any change in your network configuration? Possibly Eclipse
is trying to find something on a shared directory that no longer exists??
That would seem to be ruled out by the tests you made, though.
