I am running Mac OSX 10.5.2. I have downloaded Eclipse, but when I try to
run the executable I get the following error message:

The Eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared
library.

Not sure what to do from here...

Thanks!

What version of Eclipse did you try? To get this did you simply unzip
and try running, or did you do something to the install?

One way to fix it would be to edit the
Eclipse.app/Contents/MacOS/eclipse.ini file and add the following lines
to the beginning:
--launcher.library
/path/to/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.carbon .macosx_1.0.100.v20080509-1800/eclipse_1114.so

(With the proper version numbers corresponding to your install).
