RC2 can't access update manager [message #328643]

I just upgraded from 3.4M3 to 3.4RC2. When I try and go into the update
manager, I get this dialog that says:

Cannot launch the Update UI. This installation has not been configured
properly for software updates.

Can someone please help?

They've switched to a new update manager (p2) starting with version 3.4M5 if
I'm not mistaken. It might be the easiest to just redownload Eclipse into a
new directory.

Thats exactly what I did. I downloaded eclipse 3.4RC2 into a new
directory. I went into the update manager & downloaded some plugins that I
use. Then when I restarted eclipse & tried to go into the update manager I
got that error.
