[bug?] Ctrl+M doesn't work [message #314404] Wed, 11 April 2007 14:53 Go to next message

Hi,

I used to use Ctrl+M on any view to toggle its maximize/minimize state for
Eclipse 3.2. Now it seems that this is not working in 3.3 M6. Ctrl+M acts as
pressing Enter on an editing window. Is this a bug, or I'm doing somethinig
wrong?

Thanks.

It may not be a bug, but rather an intentional re-assigning of that
keyboard shortcut. You can use Ctrl+Shift+L to open a view displaying
all the current keyboard shortcuts, then look for "Maximize" in the list
to see what the new shortcut is (if any).
If it has been re-assigned, feel free to open a bug report asking that
it be reverted back to Ctrl+M since that is probably a commonly-used
feature that many users will "miss."

Hope this helps,
Eric

CTRL+M still works on my machine. Something to check:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Platform_Command_Framework #Tracing_Option

If you run your eclipse with tracing enabled for the keyBindings and
tracing/commands=true it will tell you what your eclipse is doing when
you are hitting CTRL+M

Later,
