Hello.

I am going to develop a new Web Project using Java and one of the most
important part of my project is reports. I have to make a lot of reports.

I have used neither BIRT nor JasperReport, but I haver read about them and
I am choosing the best for me.

I would want some features and I would like to know if they are available
in BIRT:
- I would need dinamyc columns in my reports. The user would like to
choose wich columns wants in some of the reports.
- It would be very important to be able to select a paper-tray for a
report. Some of the reports will use special paper with a pre-printed
header and others will user normal white paper.

Other question I would like to know is how report are seen in the client.
I use a JSF application, I mean, a complete Java application. What would
be the best solution to show reports in client. I have read about a web
viewer. Is it an applet or an html application? Does it allow to change
the output (PDF, WORD, EXCEL...)?

I have been trying BIRT designer with Eclipse and I like it very much. I
already use Eclipse.

Sorry for my lot of questions and my grammar errors and thank you for your
answers.
