Controlling Jars to be signed with pde build [message #25675] Tue, 07 October 2008 11:24
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,
We are using PDE-build with webstart to deploy our app with eclipse
3.3 platform. As part of the build process we have specified the jar
signing to be true in the build.properties file. Now the issue is if and
when we run the build again all jars are signed again and webstart
downloads everything again, even if only one jar has actually changed. I
was wondering if there was an easy way of controlling this in pde build?
Any help, pointers or insight will be appreciated.

Also i noticed that 3.4 has some targets in customAssembly.xml which
hook into pre-jarsigning, how does that work? We currently use 3.3 and
moving to 3.4 is not in plans yet but just out of curiosity wanted to
know if someone has used that.

Thanks,
ab
