hi,
i have multiple machines in which i have Eclipse installed. Whenever I
add a new project in one of these machines, i also try to export the
project and import it into the other machines. But the issue is that I
have to (re)setup the project preferences on each machine separately.
Does anyone know of a the steps that i could follow to import the
project as well as its preferences into the workspaces? Or is there a
plugin that could help me with this?

Currently, I just copy the whole 'configuration' and 'workspace'
directories from one machine to the other, but this seems like a tedious
workaround for something that the IDE could handle.

thanks in advance,
Vijay

No, currently there is no way to share or export project preferences
across workspaces. The problem is that project preferences were not an
Eclipse concept and each plug-in implemented their own. For 3.0 the
infrastructure for core project preferences will be there but full
implementation will be a plan item for a later release.
