I installed 2022-12 a few weeks ago, it's been working well enough. When I've been starting it, it prompts me to delete "~/.m2/repository/.cache/m2e" as that isn't used anymore. As I was working through some issues with this version, I selected "Keep Cache" until today. Today, I clicked on "Delete Cache", and I'm sorry I did.
Very soon after I clicked that, the hourglass cursor appeared and never went away. I've restarted Eclipse a few times, I've tried renaming the "m2e" directory in "~/.m2/repository/.cache" to make it think it's gone, but no matter what, when I restart Eclipse, after a few seconds it goes into "hung mode" and greys out the window.
I've inspected the Eclipse error log, and there is nothing significant there.
I'm attaching a thread dump from visualvm.
