I was wondering if it possible to run Acceleo without using any eclipse's plugins. I tried to find information online but no luck.

Hi,

Thank you for the answer.
Reading the question again I saw that I didn't ask the right question.

What I meant to ask was:

Is it possible to have the acceleo code generation executed outside of eclipse?

If we want to create a code generation utility and have it being executed as a standalone utility, would it be possible? And if so what type of guidance can you provide.

Hi

I would start by reading the documentation and focussing on "standalone" and Googling for similar.

EMF and OCL that Acceleo leverages both support standalone usage so it shouldn't be a problem to execute, so long as you ensure that the *.emtl file is prepared correctly so that all file references are correctly resolved standalone; probably needs some customisation of the main program.
