Hi,

Since some people notified us in the past that they were confused about the reasons why we have our own Remote Service
layer I thought it would be a good idea to write down the Goals and Motivation in a Wiki page. That was actually
recommended by one of our mentors and I had some extra time "between" the years so the page exists now.

happy new year

Hi,

Over the holidays I completed the reengineering of the ORMF server to be
based purely on OSGi. I chose Riena to replace the Web Services I used to
use under J2EE for remoting. It took me roughly two hours to replace a dozen
Web Services on the client and server. Then another hour to work the kinks
out. It all works like a dream.

So I would add simplicity of use to the list of "Goals and Motivation" :-)

Many thanks Christian, great job.

Joel
