The recommended way of installing GEF3D is to use the Eclipse Update
mechanism and GEF3D's update site. Note that the current release is not
an Eclipse release, but the release I published some months ago (we are
currently working on moving the project to Eclipse.org). Besides the
core GEF3D (and Draw3D) plugins, you need the LWJGL plugin. You'll find
everything you need at the GEF3D update site, an installation
description can be found at
http://www.fernuni-hagen.de/se/personen/pilgrim/gef3d/instal lation.html
GEF3D is, just like GEF, a framework, and not a ready-to-use editor.
The UniTI visualizer is not part of the distribution and will probably
never be. The same is true for the 3D version of the Topcased UML
editor. Providing 3D-editors is out of GEF3D's scope (except some
sample editors demonstrating how to use GEF3D). You can download the
current GEF3D Samples containing a simple graph editor (with nodes and
edges, you can create some nodes, but not all editor features are
implemented yet). See
http://www.fernuni-hagen.de/se/personen/pilgrim/gef3d/instal lation.html
on how to use this example editor.
Cheers,
Jens
