A while ago I asked about variable warnings, now I am trying to do a clean install again, and I want to get my warnings back.

So I headed over to the pdt-extensions site, entered the url in my "Available Software Sites"

But none of the options I see seem to fit the advice given a few months ago.

index.php/fa/22140/0/

If I select "PDT Extentions" then I get errors, (basically there is a conflict in dependencies).

I got the latest eclipse from, https://eclipse.org/pdt/ and then tried to install the extensions.
What am I missing here?

Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.

Latest Core-Plugin require minimum PDT 3.5 (current nightly, will be released together with mars). Both, 3.5 and DLT 5.2 are available in http://p2-dev.pdt-extensions.org/., so please also select category "PHP Development Tools", and "contact all sites during update".

Hi,

If I select "PHP Development Tools (PDT)" and I make sure I have "Contact all update...", I get the following,

Your original request has been modified.
"PHP Development Tools (PDT)" is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: PHP Development Tools (PDT) 3.5.0.201506101836 (org.eclipse.php.feature.group 3.5.0.201506101836)
Missing requirement: PHP Development Tools (PDT) 3.5.0.201506101836 (org.eclipse.php.feature.group 3.5.0.201506101836) requires 'org.eclipse.dltk.core.feature.group 5.2.0' but it could not be found

It says, "...update will be performed instead...", But I cannot install anything.

if I chose "PDT Extensions", (and "Contact all update...") by itself, I get

I am doing a clean install, maybe I should get eclipse without PDT?

Thanks

Please update to DLTK 5.2 first. It's available under p2-dev also. Kepler have a bug with auto-updates

Features in category Dynamic Languages Toolkit,:
* DLTK Core Frameworks
* DLTK Core H2 Index Frameworks

Thanks, I got it from https://eclipse.org/dltk/ because it does not appear under p2-dev

Also, you mention Kepler, but I am using Luna 4.4.2

Having said that, after installing dltk 5.2 as well as "PDT Extensions" and "PHP Development Tools (PDT)" all is well now and my install is up to date.

Can I now remove the update sites,

http://download.eclipse.org/technology/dltk/updates-dev/5.2/ and
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/pdt/updates/latest-nightly

The reason I ask is because 5.2 will not be updated as far as I can read and pdt will be updated by p2?

Thanks

Yes, you can remove these sites.

I'll check later why DLTK 5.2 isn't available in p2-dev.

I have now started to get the same message as in my previous post, https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&th=1067203&goto=1698280&#msg_1698280

Any suggestions?

Thanks
