I have found that I sometimes want the ability to parameterize a Launch
Configuration and specify the value(s) for the parameter(s) at the time
I invoke (Run/Debug). Perhaps a dialog comes up when I Run/Debug a
Launch Config, asking me to provide values for the params [of course it
would remember my previous entry(ies)]. This would require the "Program
Arguments" and "VM Arguments" sections of the Launch Configuration form
to accept some kind of syntax for parameters - I would imagine the Ant
property standard ${param-name} would do just fine.
So, can I accomplish this currently (I use 2.x, but I'd be interested in
hearing about anything in 3.0)? Is there an existing RFE that is similar?

Cool, I'm glad it's been thought of already.
Unfortunately, I simply can't stand the 3.0M8 UI changes, and I'm not
willing to be a guinea pig on an Integration build just to get the
pseudo-2.x UI. So I'll have to wait until a milestone comes with the 2.1
UI before evaluating new features like this one.

Why do you call it *pseudo*?
Are you OK with XP or still use 95? :)

Because that is what it is - a (close?) approximation of what 2.1 looks
and feels like. It still has problems, not the least of which is the
trouble it is to get installed. Alas, that is another thread...
[OK, as I was writing this I got the Bugzilla update for bug 52780 and
it appears that M9 provides an easy switch to get the 2.1 L&F, and that
they've moved the perspective bar back to where it belongs and generally
made more progress since I last looked at it. So I'll reserve my
judgment of applying "pseudo" moniker to it until I've had a chance to
use M9 for a while]

Yes, I'm a big fan of eXtreme Programming. Oh wait, did you mean the OS
whose name Micro$oft ripped off? ;-)
Actually, I despise WinXP for various reasons, probably the biggest
being its default Fisher-Price "skin." Win2k is my desktop OS of choice,
and I revert all the UI options to Win2k style when I am forced to use XP.
That is all irrelevant, I admit - but since you brought it up...
