I am playing around with I20040506 java code folding feature.

it strikes me that a source header - e.g. boilerplate comment where
everyone places copyright info etc befaoire tha package statement - is
not foldable.
headers are one of the biggest regions of a source file you don't want
to see IMO !!!

+1 on the header.
Also, nothing beneath a method is currently foldable (large try/if/else
blocks, etc).

Will this support be added at any point in time?

Thanks,

R.J.

ok since more people seem to agree that headers should be foldable, I
submitted this feature request:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=61328

One more idea/question.
How do you think, should Eclipse remember folding state? I just
tested - collapsed several parts, close file and reopen - they parts
are open again. So, I have to collapse them again.

Preferences let you specify what to have folded when you open a new editor.
I don't see the need to remember the folding state when you closed an
editor (you might write a plugin to do so!), I am happy to reopen an
editor and get the default folding (eg comments headers etc).

IMO it should remember folding state.

Is there a short cut for folding/unfolding all comments in a source file?
