The porting guide is good if you try to build a plug-in under 3.0 and you
get warnings about deprecated methods, or build errors. Just do a search in
that document for the symbol that is getting the message and it should tell
you what you have to change it too. Also there is an automatic conversion
step that takes care of some things for you, just right click on the project
and select PDE Tools > Migrate to 3.0.
