Hi all,

Could someone familiar with OS X help me out? I'm trying to get
Eclipse 2.1.1 properly installed on OS X, and I'm unsure how to specify
the workspace path (I don't want to use the default). I assume that I
could accomplish this by modifying the Info.plist. Is there a better way?

I believe this is the answer you need:

http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.platform/msg03 703.html

(found using http://www.eclipse.org/search/search.cgi and setting the scope
to newsgroups and searching for "Info.plist")

Yes, the only way to accomplish that is by editing the Info.plist file.
There is a bug report for this:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=32147

BTW, tilde expansion ('~') works in 3.0 builds but I'm not sure whether it
works in 2.1.1.
In general I'd suggest to use 3.0 builds on MacOS X.
2.1.1 lack lots of Mac specific improvements.
