Hi,

I have installed eclipse 3.1.0 under linux and I have downloaded the
following cdt version:

org.eclipse.cdt-3.0.0-RC3-linux.x86.tar

The question is: how do I install it now, I couldn't find instructions
anywhere. Do I just extract it to the plugin folder of my eclipse
installation?

Thanks,

Roland

Hello Roland,

Just extract files from tar and copy to your eclipase folder.

Hi, I did that and restarted Eclipse. But it didn's seem to have any
effect at all. I still can't start a C++ project. Is there anything else
I need to do?

Ok, answering my own question. I restarted eclipse with the argument
"-clean" and then I had to change the "perspective" clicking on a button
on the top right to a C/C++ perspective. Everything seems ok now.

Thanks
