"Processing Dirty Regions" error on WTP 0.7.1 [message #144895] Fri, 21 October 2005 21:19 Go to next message

Hello, running either 0.7.0 or 0.7.1 (using the all-in-one downloads for
both these versions of WTP) both give me a popup error "An internal
error occurred during: 'Processing Dirty Regions'" whenever I edit an
XML file. What version of WTP do I need to fix this (0.6 does not have
this error, but I would like something more recent.)

Also, is there a convenient way to search this newsgroup--the newsgroup
archives do not appear to have a search function.

Thanks,
Glen

You might want to check your workspace's .metadata/.log file for the
full stack trace. It might help to explain why the error is
occurring or at least give you a starting point for opening a bug.
I suggest you check 1.0M8 or the upcoming 1.0M9 to see if the
problem is still happening.

Hello,
I have tried the 1.0M9 and it's the same problem.
Here is my workspace's .metadata/.log file (in the attached file.).

Since the log contains a "class not found" error, be sure you restart WT=
P (once) with the
-clean option, incase its an "installed cache" probroblem. If you see af=
ter that, please
open a bug report with complete log. You might try the very very latest =
M9 candidate too ...
I know some "schema resolutions/lookup/caching" problems have been fixed=
in last day or two,
so *might* be releated to those.

Do you have a version of Xerces in your jre/lib/ext folder or
another org.apache.xerces plugin installed?
