Hi,
WTP 3.6.1 is built using CBI (git+Maven+other stuff), and I guess that is why the map files are no longer used.
Each WTP repository should have a git tag like R3_6_1 which you could use to get the source
If you find a wtp repository without a tag, could you post it here? Maybe the project lead can tell which tag should be used instead.

Hi Roberto
It seems WTP is not quite like the other Porjects. In map file, Sources are listed in plugin/feature, but not repository. Part of 3.6.0RC4's map below:
plugin@org.eclipse.wst.common.infopop=GIT,tag=v201004280700,repo=git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/webtools-common/webtools.common.git,path=plugins/org.eclipse.wst.common.infopop
plugin@org.eclipse.wst.validation.infopop=GIT,tag=v200806041506,repo=git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/webtools-common/webtools.common.git,path=docs/org.eclipse.wst.validation.infopop
plugin@org.eclipse.wst.common.api.doc=GIT,tag=v200807181737,repo=git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/webtools-common/webtools.common.git,path=docs/org.eclipse.wst.common.api.doc
plugin@org.eclipse.wst.validation.doc.isv=GIT,tag=v201209262100,repo=git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/webtools-common/webtools.common.git,path=docs/org.eclipse.wst.validation.doc.isv
For 3.6.0RC4, I have to clone [webtools.common.git] and checkout to many tags to get different plugins/features.
Do you mean that ,from 3.6.1, all the plugins/features are in the same tag/branch so we only have to clone [webtools.common.git] and checkout to a tag like R3_6_1?
