Hi all,
im using Eclipse and i think it's very very good, but im having
problems with the online help.
When i press F1 the help correctly loads, showing all the stuff
i wanna see BUT if i switch window (i.e. to Eclipse itself or
to another program ) and then come back to the help window, i can
notice a strange graphic corruption.
You can see a sample here
http://utenti.lycos.it/ecio78/messedup.jpg
Im using Eclipse 2.1.2 on Windows 2000 so, does Eclipse
use IE to show up these help pages ? Is the problem related
to MS browser or is there something wrong in my Eclipse ?
Thanks in advance,
Norberto Carnelil

Additionnaly, you can look at this bug:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=35009
The last comment includes a workaround
Hope this helps,
Jean

you're right, but i dont think you can setup
Eclipse to point to Mozilla instead of IE when it
loads his help system (of course you can prolly do
it modifying eclipse sources, but i think it's not the
easiest solution :D)

Of course you can use Mozilla :
-> Windows / Preferences / Help :
- check "Custom Browser"
- and fill in the "custom browser command"
With Eclipse 3.0M6, at least.

According [1] and [2], I would try the following with Mozilla :
mozilla -remote openURL(%1l, new-tab)
Don't know if it works with Firefox (it should, IMHO)
Don't know either which window will open the new tab in case you have
multiple windows...
