Hi,
I am testing for localization for Japanese language.I have an applictaion
and all the files are localized. In the propertie's file I have replaced
one of the English strings with Japanese. When I run the application, on a
Japanese machine, the properties file gets loaded and the string that is
in Japanese is shown as a sequence of Question marks ("?????").
Could any of you tell me as to what else I have to configure, to get the
application to display characters in Japanese...
Thanks in advance.
Nita.

You probably have to set the console encoding to a suitable format. Go
in Run -> Run... -> (you application) -> console tab -> ...
And set a suitable encoding there (UTF-8, I suppose).

Hi,
I tried setting the eclipse Console Encoding. Now what happens is that the
characters in the Console are being displayed in Japanese but when I run
my Application, it still shows Question marks..
So I thought that My editor is not siutable for Japanese characters and
opened the properties file in notepad and did the modifications (i.e. in
my Application, I changed the title of one my Dialog boxes to Japanese)
but then when I run the application, this now displays some ascii values
in the place of the title of the dialog but not the Japanese characters.
Could you please tell me what I should do to set this right so that my
Application also displays Japanese characters.
Thanks,
Nita
