Unable to configure Arduino to work with Eclipse Juno [message #1403033]

Hi all,

I am facing so complications when configuring Eclipse Juno C++ IDE to work with Arduino, wonder if anyone might have faced similar situation.

I followed the guide here on arduino.cc, with arduino IDE installed at C:\Arduino

But received this error message:
[${Workspace_loc:/TestProject}/Release/TestProject.hex] for the Flash memory does not exist or is not readable. Maybe the project needs to be build first.

I am using Windows 8, Ardhuino IDE 1.0.5-r2

I'm not sure I know the answer yet, but it comes at a good time.

I bought myself an Uno and am about to start working on a plug-in set that will add real support for Arduino to CDT. It will include all the things out of the Arduino IDE that you need (i.e. everything but their IDE which is great for beginners, but...), and focus on real C++ development (not ino's which are so close to C++, they should be C++). Install should be a breeze and I'll include it in the Eclipse Marketplace. But that's a few weeks away though (hopefully by September's CDT 8.5).

BTW, do you have the link to the article on arduino.cc? That might help guide me with my plug-in.

Hi Doug, I'm guessing you know already, but there are a couple of Eclipse Arduino plugins out there already - "https:// github.com / jantje / arduino-eclipse-plugin" for instance. I use eclipse for Arduino work a lot, but I don't use a plugin - I took the (one time) pain to figure out all the compiler / linker options, and now just copy a project when I need a new one.

Still feel like "adding real support for Arduino to CDT"?
Take a look at my arduino eclipse plugin. http://eclipse.baeyens.it/. I tink it is doing a really good job.
Wim jongman build a real product from it. And it is available on the market place.
It is all open source and I'm open to ideas, improvements, comments ....
