Jackie,
Select a container (a JPanel for example). There are three ways to
change the layout:
1) From the Properties view make a selection in the layout property's
combo box.
2) Right click on the container in the graphical view or the Java Beans
view. Select a layout from the Set Layout submenu.
3) On the toolbar there is a Customize layout button with a pulldown
submenu. Select a layout from the submenu.
There is much more basic help such as this in the VE documentation
available under the Visual Editor for Java User Guide in Eclipse help,
or online here:
http://help.eclipse.org/help31/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse. ve.doc/topics/tve_overview.html
Hope this helps,
- Jeff
