Hello,

In the team->ignored ressources pref page, I've set some file types to be
ignored. These ignored ressources are the following form : *.extension
But it still wants to manage them and set the dirty flag for all
directories containing these files. This is annoying since one of the tool
we use creates, in each source directory, one file of that type that I
want to be ignored by eclipse team sync plug-in.

I'm using Eclipse 3.0M3 on Win XP, build id : 200308281813

If it's a know bug of 3.0M3, I'll wait for next version ..

Thx in advance.

This is not a known bug in M3. Please log a bug report against Platform
VCM with exact steps to reproduce.

In fact, it may be linked to an other bug that may already be in the bug
database:
I just noticed that some other changes I had made in the preferences that
hadn't been applied (Work in Progress sections: I thought it was just
because it was "in progress"), just applied.
The prefs applied when I opened eclipse today .. (still some changes may
not have been applied, among them, the ignored ressources)
I just checked and it seems prefs wont apply anymore, even those that just
changed today ..

I m testing it on background cvs operations (Team->CVS->Work in Progress).
I had set it to be ran in background a few days ago. It applied today, and
now, I'm willing to change it back to run in foreground but it still runs
in background, even after a full restart of the application.

I don't really know how I could fill a bug report about that because I
haven't the slightest clue about how to reproduce the activation of the
changes.
I'm a real noob in terms of bug reports, I'd be glad to help, but I feel
it would be a bit useless to fill a bug without any information about how
reproduce it or how to solve it. I'm willing to wait before I've more
clues about the problems before posting the two bugs, correct me if that's
the wrong way to handle the situation.

Best regards,

Jean
