Did you download and install the JRE or the SDK? YOu need an SDK
installed in order to compile java progs.

Remove the ns_ from if replying by e-mail (but keep posts in the
newsgroups if possible).

Technically, a 5.0 JRE is all you need to compile Java 5.0 programs in
Eclipse, since Eclipse provides its own Java 5.0 compiler.

At the time this thread was started, 1.4 was the default even if you had 1.5
installed. With the latest version of the JRE 1.5 is default.
