This is a question of details, but this seems to be the divider
characteristic in the existing BPEL designers. Some BPEL designers are
clearly link based, while the others don't visualise the links and encourage
to use Switch activity structure instead. The Links are part of the BPEL
specification and are very efficient in simplifying the BPEL process.

activity. At that point, you can choose if the <flow> should be auto-layed
out of allow links/manual layout.
The IBM WBI 6.1 includes this! (very cool!).
