console clears after an execution [message #119850] Sat, 26 November 2005 00:25 Go to next message

After I run my project, the output goes to the console but it clears almost
instantly. However if I run the program again, the output goes to the
console and it doesn't clear the text. This happens everytime I recompile
by chaning some code. How do I make eclipse stop clearing the console
output?

I think I figured it out, I had a cvs console view, I opened a new console
view and closed the cvs console view.

I spoke to soon, that odd behaviour has come back. If it says CVS under
console tab then I have to run my program twice in order for the console
output to stick

Pretty ironic that you would be asking this question now, because I just
came here looking for the answer to that EXACT SAME QUESTION.

Often, but not always, if I change anything in my Java source and run it,
the output appears for a fraction of a second then vanishes, replaced by
"A console is not available." If I simply click the run button again, with
no edits made to the source, the output appears again and stays visible.
If I make another edit and click run, the output flashes and then vanishes
again. I have to run it again to make it stay visible.

What's going on?

Hi!
I was shocked at first with that, but the solution is very simple. if
the execution dissapears, just click on one the threads the process has
created. One of them should have the output.
