Using Birt in an RCP application [message #119550] Mon, 30 January 2006 09:35 Go to next message

Hi,
I'm new to Birt and I want to use it in an Eclipse RCP application.
The only thing I manage to do is running a report and create the resulting
html/pdf file with the RunReport.java example.
I 've search the web but I didn't manage to find any good example or "how to"
for using Birt in an RCP application (only webapp example),
so I have several questions:

1) Is it possible to directly run and print a report on the same action ? If
yes, how?

2) How can I make a preview of a report like in "BIRT RCP report designer"
application? Is it possible with out an application server? Is it possible to use
the server of the Eclipse help system? If yes, how can I do this?

I use Birt 1.0.1. Is birt 2.0 more easy to "test" birt?

thanks for your help.
