Installing GMF M6 Stream Stable Build [message #119309] Sat, 14 April 2007 13:49 Go to next message

Hi Everyone,

I have successfully installed Eclipse 3.3M6, EMF, GEF etc. However, when I
try to install GMF 2.0M6 it fails. The error message is "Error retrieving
"Error retrieving "plugins/org.eclipse.gmf.sdk_1.0.0.v20070403-1500.jar".
[Server returned HTTP response code: "404 Not Found" for URL:
http://www.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/eclipse/releases/europa/plug ins/org.eclipse.gmf.sdk_1.0.0.v20070403-1500.jar.] "
This is from the Europa update site.

I have tried creating a new Update site only for GMF but I end up at the
same problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
RS

Sorry, there is a known problem with the update sites for M6. It's been
fixed on the main Europa site (I haven't verified), but perhaps hasn't
propagated to all mirrors yet.

Try using our milestone site, or selecting the main Europa site and not a
mirror:
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/gmf/update-site/milesto ne/site.xml

Thanks,
Rich

It's only been fixed on the Europa staging site, afaiu. M7 will be out next
week, so the problem should go away with that update to the Europa site.
