Mark,
Have you tried relese 2.0? Make sure you get the iText jar in the correct
place.
Also verify the size of iText jar file. Should be over 1 MB.

I *am* using the larger iText jar file (just fixed that yesterday ...
should probably be an installation note about this, since multiple people
have had the problem of the wrong jar - the iText download page is
misleading as to which file to get).
